Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Blog Update: First Batch of Memes!

If you haven't already guessed by my poll, I've been working on making Nicktoons screencaps into meme pictures for my blog. Well, the first few of what I've got is finally there for you people to use. I'd be choked up if these even made it into the galleries of Know Your Meme... Or do I have to make that happen myself? IDK.

Another treat in the post is a new Demotivational inspired by the recent T.U.F.F. Puppy episode "Forget Me Mutt." Kitty made a sexy purring noise in it and it gave me the idea for this Demote. ...It also gave me the need to fan myself. XD

One last thing I have in the post is a meme-like image that addresses the issue many Fairly OddParents fans have about the upcoming live-action TV movie, involving actors poorly portraying Cosmo and Wanda. Well, you'll be pleased to hear that the actors' appearances are brief and that Cosmo and Wanda (as well as Poof) will stay animated... Even though the animation is in CGI. Their CGI models were seen during this year's Kids' Choice Awards, during a bumper that announced an award winner. These models were confirmed to be from the movie by Butch Hartman himself after a fan asked him about it on Twitter.
I bet that movie's looking a lot better to most of you right now... So :icondltoon: can suck it! ...Nah, I'm kidding. I'm past that feud. XD

(BTW, one good meme I realized I forgot in the poll was "COME AT ME, BRO" Hindsight's always 20/20, ain't it?)

I would have no idea about the Kitty one because I still have yet to see it, as itunes only have 6 episodes so that's how far I have been able to go ^^;

The models do look similar, but something tells me that DNA (the JN animation studio) didn't have a hand in it this time. They seem a little different...
