Before I get back to commissions, I thought I'd get something original of mine out of the way.
For The Looney Tunes Show, Jessica Borutski did some great designs for a TON of Looney Tunes, even ones who have yet to make an actual appearance in an episode. You can see them in the intro. However, there are still some other Tunes that I have yet to see "Borutski'd." These are rough sketches on how I imagine four of them to get this treatment...
Dan Backslide: From the classic "Dover Boys of Pimento University" short, this conniving ne'er-do-well is quite popular (at least with YouTube Poopers, from what I've seen), so he was the first I tried designing. Looking at the show's designs for Yosemite Sam helped me get a good idea of where to go for this.
Cool Cat: A lesser known Tune from numerous 60's shorts (yet he's made several cameos in Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries), he had one of the more abstract designs to work with. Fortunately, I figured out how to draw him after looking at Borutski's design for Pete Puma.
The Nerdlucks: Well, yeah, I only drew one, but I still felt that these little alien twerps from Space Jam needed more attention. From what I've learned from drawing the head Nerdluck, they're surprisingly easy to adapt to the show's style.
Queen Tyr'ahnee: The royal vixen from the Duck Dodgers series and probably the most favorite out of these four among fans (at least the male fans, for obvious reasons), she was the trickiest. I had to make sure I kept her hotness in this design, but I had few designs like that from the show to use as reference. I ended up using the movie star from the "Casa de Calma" episode (aka the pilot) as a starting point.
Here are some other Tunes I may want to tackle in the future:
-The Dover Boys
-The rest of the Nerdlucks
-Dr. IQ High
-Red Riding Hood
-The Gremlins from the Kremlin
-Merlin the Magic Mouse
-Bunny and Claude
All I need is reference for these and I'm good to go.
