Note: This mostly just applies to the series.

I had this finished and on the back-burner for a while, but I finally posted it because of a recent run-in with an annoying hater.

I remember the movie... those Coyotes was the one that gave an idea of being for my character in the first place before five nights at freddy's.

Yes, I did see the movie to.

I like it, but I think that it's a good thing it ended after 2 seasons. It might have jumped the shark if it lasted longer then it did.

I do enjoy the movie and the show. Although, I don't know why they cancelled the show. At least, it had mostly good episodes, I think.

I like this cartoon, I actually just enjoy the movie more. The only thing that really ever bothered me about the series was the male cows having udders.

There's no such thing as true logic in a cartoon, especially of one with talking animals. =P

The show is decent, but it comes from a movie that didn't need a television series. By the end of the movie Otis learned responsibility, got the girl, and it's assumed he is going to raise the baby cow Ben in a similar way his own father raised him. Dragons at least had enough enough open ends to work out in a television series. But if you're able to separate Barnyard and Back at the Barnyard as to completely different consistencies, then they are both good material.

Good point. BatB is sort of an slightly alternate universe version of the original film. When the creators decided to go for the more comedic route, it was for the best that they ditched some of the more emotional developments from the movie, or else Otis would look really bad when pulling pranks and being a goof. Personally, I LOVE the comedy the show has, but I can't help but wonder what things would've been like if they didn't retcon some of the film's elements.

I feel like their would be a bit darker tone, maybe it focusses on Ben instead of Otis.

I've recently gotten back into this show (along with a few others)
I'm really mad at the nick.com page however; when I tried to click on an episode I have not gotten the chance to see in a long time (where I live they just rerun the same 8 episodes over and over again) even after restarting my computure and refreshing the page, like, 11k times, IT WOULDN'T PLAY!

IT'S LIKE...
"HEY DUDE, I GOT 'CHA AN ICECREAM... BUT YOU CAN'T EAT/LICK IT!"

just... why show the thumbnail if it dosn't play anything!?

I wasn't crazy about how they were forcing the Otis/Abby thing in later episodes, but, otherwise, this show was a riot. So goofy and so funny.

Good job on the stamp.

I liked it a little, but looking back, it definitely had flaws. The series is a lot better. It's one of those pure comedy and escapism deals. It never took itself seriously -- In a good way.

I just remember it being a part of that 2005-2007 wave of CGI movies that swamped us, most of them not being particularly flashy or memorable. Other than that, I've sort of forgotten about the Barnyard franchise.

I guess that works, I need to see it rerunning on Nick sometime, it's literally been years since I last caught it on TV.

It might still be on Nicktoons. If you decide to watch it, just be prepare for some of the craziest irreverent humor you might come across. And remember that it's silly on purpose.

The only problem I have with this show is how it doesn't tie in with the movie. Where's Daisy, where's Ben Jr., where did Abby come from, where are the other characters like the donkey? (I forgot his name) I mean it is called Back at the Barnyard implying a sequel. I like the show don't get me wrong but I just don't know how it ties in with the movie's canon.

I dunno, but it still works as a pure comedy show. The Farmer must have sold Daisy and Ben Jr. That isn't a stretch because my family did the same thing with a cow we had when it had a calf. Plus, if Otis pulled all those crazy stunts in the show with them around, he'd look bad.
